“Wyoming”, Coonoor is surrounded by tea gardens in the heart of Coonoor and is very favourably placed .It came into existence in 1905 and was earlier utilized as a Missionary Holiday Home, before it became a National Project in 1969.
“Wyoming”, Coonoor attracts many tourists and transit guests because of residential schools situated in the vicinity. Excursion groups from schools and colleges are also housed and provided low cost guest services at the Project.
The Project can accommodate a total number of 50 persons The old colonial style building with its gabled windows and large open verandah filled with antique furniture makes this an ideal destination for a relaxed holiday far from the madding crowd. It takes you back in time to the days when Coonoor was a gracious town filled with cozy tea shops and friendly people.
