How the Board is formed

Elected every four years
The National Board is the governing body of the YWCA of India. It is elected at the National Convention, held every four years.
The Officers
The President, a Vice President from each region and one at Headquarters, the Treasurer, and the National General Secretary. The National General Secretary is the chief executive and is appointed by the Board.
Regional representatives
The Board also has three elected representatives from each region, and two members who live in or near New Delhi, where the Headquarters is.
Term limits
Board members can serve at most two consecutive four-year terms.
Young women
At least a quarter of the seats on the Board are reserved for young women aged 18 to 30.
